➡️ Eat in or take away meals
There are places where I can get free or low-cost meals. These meals can be breakfasts, lunches, snacks, or dinners. I can eat in or take the meals away.
There are also popular meals that are distributed in the street, without resource conditions. I just have to go there at the times indicated.
To find meal distributions, I can search on Soliguide with the word "meal distribution" and my location.
➡️ Foods to cook at home
I can get food baskets or food parcels. These baskets contain products such as canned goods, dry or fresh products, but in limited quantities.
⚠️ Most of the time, this help is free. Sometimes, there may be a small financial contribution depending on the structure and my situation (family, for example).
How to get a food basket?
- I am accompanied by a person who helps me in my procedures , so she can guide me towards structures reserved for orientation ;
- I don't have any social support , so I can go to structures open to everyone where there is no need to go through a social worker.
💡 Please note: some structures are reserved for specific people (for example: students, people with disabilities, the homeless, etc.). It is important to inform me well beforehand.

➡️ A social and solidarity grocery store
A social and solidarity grocery store is a place where I can buy products at very low prices. It's like a mini-market, but at reduced rates (from 10% to 30% of the normal price) or for a solidarity sum.
To go to a solidarity grocery store, I must check the registration conditions. These conditions vary from one grocery store to another. The criteria may be:
- My resources;
- My family situation;
- My place of residence;
- If I am part of a specific audience (for example: students, people with disabilities, etc.).
I can call the grocery store directly to find out if I can register. I apply if I am eligible and my situation will be studied.
I can also request information from the CCAS in my municipality or from my social worker.
