If I am one or more months late in rent, I can contact a social worker to get help paying my rent. My social worker can also help me find solutions with my landlord to prevent eviction.
My landlord does not have the right to kick me out or call the police until the judge has decided on my rental eviction.
If my landlord appeals to the judge who decided to evict me, I can appeal to DALO to be recognized as a priority for access to social housing.
If I do not leave the premises, a bailiff comes to my home to see that I am still there. The judge can then decide to call the police to evict me from my home. Until I receive the judge's decision authorizing the police to come, the police cannot come and evict me.
💡 If I wish to be informed or helped in my steps relating to the eviction procedure, I can call the eviction prevention number of the Abbé Pierre Foundation : Hello eviction prevention: 0810 001 505
I can get help in these procedures from a social worker or from the ADIL office in my department. The list of ADILs is available on the ANIL website and on soliguide .
