The Medico-Psychological Center (CMP) is a free place of care for people who have mental disorders. I can go to the CMP and be accompanied there even if I do not have health insurance .
Why go to the CMP ?
I can go to a CMP if I need mental health care or to meet a psychiatrist . Consultations at a CMP are free. In case of special needs, the CMP can refer me to another care structure, a hospitalization structure, etc.
Which professionals can I meet? at the CMP ?
When I go to the CMP for the first time, I first meet a psychiatric nurse, then a psychiatrist. Depending on the doctor's recommendations, I may then also meet a psychologist from the CMP.
CMP teams can be very diverse and one can meet psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, psychologists, social workers, sometimes even speech therapists, psychomotor therapists and specialized educators.
Which CMP can I go to? ?
I can't go to just any CMP. I have to go to my local CMP: that is, according to my address (domiciliation or place of residence) . To find out my local CMP, I can search on soliguide.fr
👉 In Paris, if I am homeless, the Psychiatric Orientation and Reception Center - CPOA (01 45 65 81 09) can refer me to a CMP.
